It was another great night for the Rangers Development Squad and Graeme Murty as the young Bears beat Slovan Bratislava 2-0 at Firhill.

It sets the UEFA Youth League tie up very nicely for the return in Slovakia, with the goals coming from Dapo Mebude and Nathan Young Coombes.

Rangers dominated the match from the beginning to end and they can be confident of progression to the next round of the competition if they match that level of performance in Slovakia.

The club’s supporters threw their weight behind the youngsters by turning out in their numbers at Firhill to watch the U19s.

Rangers had invited supporters to the home of Partick Thistle for the match and the club’s supporters responded in kind with an impressive turnout.

It would’ve been a great experience for the youngsters and the supporters deserve credit for the role they played in what is an impressive victory.

Some fans took to Twitter to congratulate the young bears.

 

The club’s supporters continue to turn out for the young Gers side as Graeme Murty’s team continue to develop as professional footballers.

There’s real hope that the progress of this side can unearth a few Academy gems and the club’s fans have a role to play in their development.

As such, fans are being invited to Ibrox to take in the Rangers Colts match against Wrexham in the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup.
