Rangers legend Brian Laudrup has taken to Instagram to announce that he has been given the all-clear from Follicular Lymphoma Cancer after 10 years of treatment.

It’s a wonderful moment for Ibrox hero Laudrup as he celebrates winning a decade-long battle with the blood cancer.

Thanking the staff and doctors of Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, God himself remained incredibly modest as he announced the news online.

Laudrup writes:

“Today, after 10 years of treatment and check ups, I finally got the all clear for my Follicular Lymphoma Cancer diagnosis!

“A huge thank you to this amazing and wonderful medical staff at Rigshospitalet.”

Rangers legend Laudrup remains a figure of adoration at Ibrox and for supporters of a certain era there is no player they rate higher.

A truly world-class footballer, Laudrup took to Rangers just as much as the club’s fans took to him and he remains a positive figure and ambassador for the club.

Naturally, the news has been met with real celebration from the Ibrox legions who expressed their delight at Laudrup’s news on Twitter.

The Rangers fans offered their support to Laudrup as they saluted the former Danish international winger for taking up the fight against Cancer and winning.

Brian Laudrup spent four years at Rangers between 1994 and 1998, winning five trophies and etching himself into Ibrox history.

The winger famously turned down a move to Barcelona whilst at Rangers, telling Walter Smith he’d rather face Falkirk on a cold Tuesday night than turn out at the Camp Nou.
