A Rangers Academy side has arrived in Doha as the young Gers prepare to a defence of the prestigious ALKASS Cup in Qatar.
The young Bears lifted the U17 trophy last season fending off competition from some of Europe’s top academies to life the prize, besting AS Roma 9-8 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
If the Gers youngsters plan on repeating the feat this season, they’ll need to fend off competition from the likes of Real Madrid, PSG and Barcelona.

As the young Gers jet off to the Middle East, it’s a reminder of the unbelievable success Rangers enjoyed at the tournament last season.
The ALKASS Cup win was perhaps the cherry on the top of what was a superb season for the Rangers development side, who were involved in the winning of four trophies last campaign.
The first matches will pit Rangers against local club Aspire Academy and the youth contingent of South Korean side Samsung Suwon FC.
Rangers also have prodigious young USA talent Francis Jacobs [Orange County] on their books for the tournament.
The club’s supporters have been taking the time to wish the young Gers players luck as they set off on another cup adventure:
