Rangers fans have been sarcastically agreeing with Livingston manager David Martindale after the Lions boss make a recommendation regarding the Celtic job.
Martindale and his charges were on the end of a 6-0 hammering at Celtic Park as the Scottish Premiership split fixtures finally got underway.
🗣 'There was a hunger about Celtic that I haven't seen in a while.'
David Martindale disappointed with Livingston's display but admits John Kennedy did no harm to his chances of landing permanent #CelticFC job.

The result means little in terms of the league campaign – with Rangers crowned Champions over a MONTH ago – but it’s certainly instilled confidence in camp Celtic ahead of their Scottish Cup trip to Rangers next weekend.
Martindale – who transformed Livingston when he took over in the mid-point of the season – has suggested that such was the strength of the performance, John Kennedy must be a candidate for the job full time.
“I was angry after the game and in the changing room and now I’m disappointed. I felt there was an acceptance out there,” said Martindale [Glasgow Times].
“We accepted that and that is not what I want from my players. We need to work on that.
“On the flip side, and I am not trying to sugar coat it, I thought Celtic were fantastic today. Obviously we allowed Celtic to be fantastic, but I do think they popped the ball really well.
“There was a hunger and appetite with Celtic with the way they moved the ball, I have not seen for a while
“If I am honest, it looked like a team who were playing for the manager. If John has any chance of the job that will have done him the world of good.
“I think you can see the players were playing for John and they were enjoying it.
“Obviously we made it that bit easier. I don’t think we were anywhere near it after half an hour. We didn’t get close enough to Celtic players.”
Needless to say, it’s a managerial choice which doesn’t scare Rangers supporters with many sarcastically responding to the Martindale comments via Twitter:
Class from Martindale, IMO. https://t.co/WOWNeEhwTU
