Rangers fans have been responding to the comments of Radio One DJ and star of this year’s I’m a Celebrity Jordan North after he criticised “biased” pundit and ex-Celtic player Chris Sutton.

The Gers support is well aware of wind-up merchant Sutton and the kind of commentary he provides concerning football north of the border.

But North’s comments appear to concern Sutton’s coverage of football down south with the ex-Chelsea, Blackburn and Norwich man a pundit on BBC Radio Five Live.

Taking to Twitter, North bashed Sutton for his latest coverage and described him as the “worst pundit”.

Sutton has made a name for himself for his outspoken views on football over the last few years and has emerged as one of the country’s most high profile pundits.

Much of his coverage is somewhat incendiary and designed to wind people up but his supporters claim there’s no malice and it’s all just a big joke.

But with Sutton an ex-Parkhead star – who famously claimed Dunfermline would “lie down” to Rangers in a title-deciding 6-1 victory at Ibrox in 2003 [Guardian] – Rangers are never a popular subject with the pundit.

Do you remember when Sutton tried to claim that a conspiracy was behind Alfredo Morelos avoiding punishment as he cried over Rangers’ 1-0 victory against Celtic in December 2018 [Daily Record]?

For that reason, the club’s fans know all too well about the kind of thing North is talking about.

Rangers fans naturally found the entire thing hilarious and took to Twitter to respond to North’s comments as he became a popular man amongst the Ibrox support:

Burnley fan North was talking after the Clarets managed to secure an impressive 0-1 away win at 10-man Arsenal as the pressure increases on ex-Rangers man and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.

As for Sutton, some timely footage of him and old pal Neil Lennon laughing at Rangers three years ago has resurfaced with the Gers going well in the Scottish Premiership.
