A transfer report this morning claimed that Premier League Aston Villa have put £20m aside to try and snatch Alfredo Morelos from Ibrox [Football Insider].
Naturally, a mixture of the price tag and the alleged Premier League interest, combined with Alfredo’s 13 goals by October, had press outlets referencing the story.
Couple this with the claims by Richard Gough that LA Galaxy watched the Colombian [Scotsman] on Saturday and you’d be forgiven for thinking Rangers fans are panicking over their main man.
But if you want Aston Villa fans to make the decision Morelos, it looks like he’d be staying put at Ibrox.

Villa supporters are, by-and-large, not happy with the exuberant links to the talented forward – for reasons which are steeped largely in ignorance.
Not that Rangers fans will be complaining. The Ibrox side will be delighted that the Villa Park side won’t be pressured to snap up the Colombian international by their own fans.
For the Ibrox faithful the ignorance of the Villa faithful really is bliss.

Alfredo Morelos has been in sensational form this season and as a result has been recalled to the Colombian national side.
If he keeps going the way he’s going, Morelos could wind up on north of 40 goals this season.
