On Saturday afternoon, the Daily Mail reported that four Premier League clubs including Crystal Palace and Brighton are currently monitoring Rangers midfielder, Glen Kamara.

The 23-year-old joined for a minuscule £50k from Dundee in January [Daily Record], but his stock has risen significantly since then.

Firstly, he slotted into the Gers midfield and showed composure and quality on the ball, starring in May’s Old Firm win at Ibrox, in particular.

Then, while his recent club performances haven’t quite reached the same heights as achieved in early 2019, he’s been excelling on the international scene with Finland.

Kamara has been a linchpin for his country who are on the brink of qualifying for a major tournament, due to their impressive Euro 2020 qualifying form.

It’s been suggested that Crystal Palace, Brighton, Aston Villa and Burnley are all now interested in a possible January swoop, with scouts sending back positive reports following the Gers’s Europa League draw against Porto on Thursday night.

In his short stint at Ibrox, the ex-Arsenal academy player has endeared himself to the club’s fans.

As a result, they won’t be happy with him departing unless the club receives a massive transfer fee.

It seems the £765k rating given to him by Transfermarkt just won’t cut it, and considering he still has just shy of four years left on his contract, the club would be more than entitled to ask for big money.

Here’s a selection of reactions to the reported interest:
