Rangers fans have responded to a rousing official video released by the club on Wednesday as supporters are urged to take out MyGers memberships [Rangers FC Twitter].

The MyGers initiative was launched in May 2020 and thousands of supporters signed up, providing a significant financial boost for the club.

Members receive benefits like priority ticket access and are eligible for special club events and experiences.

Now, almost a year after the initial launch, Rangers are pushing once again for fans to sign up ahead of the club’s 150th anniversary.

On Wednesday evening, a rousing promotional video was released via the Gers’ social media channels, voiced by Clive Tyldesley, the famous commentator who has regularly worked for RangersTV on Premiership home matches this season.

It’s a well-produced piece, with text appearing over shots of Ibrox and archive footage of trophy celebrations.

“Our devoted allegiance to the team is second only to our allegiance to the club, to the name of the club, to the traditions of the club, to the unique history of the club,” says Tyldesley in one section.

“Rangers commit to building the next 150 years in the proud image of the last 150 years – be part of that,” he says in another.

Finally, supporters are urged to “join us, because we are stronger together.”

The video went down extremely well with some Bears, who responded on Twitter.

Next season will be a big one for Rangers, particularly because of the anniversary, but a player currently out on loan in England is unlikely to be a part of it on the pitch.
