Early on Tuesday evening, Rangers officially announced the signing of Sheyi Ojo.
The 21-year-old joins on a season-long loan from Liverpool.

It comes after prolonged speculation that Steven Gerrard would use his Merseyside connections to lure another exciting talent to Ibrox.
Last season, he took Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent with him when he moved north of the border.
Ejaria struggled to find his feet before returning to Anfield, but Kent proved to be a revelation.

Let’s hope Ojo can make a similar level of impact if given the game time required to shine. Predominantly a right winger, he will compete with Daniel Candeias for a starting berth.

The Liverpool youngster can also be deployed in the no.10 role, though.
This is the fifth loan spell of his fledgling professional career. Previously, turned out for Wigan, Wolves, Fulham and most recently, Stade de Reims.
His most productive stint in terms of goals was with Fulham in the Championship. He netted four times there but failed to score in 15 Ligue 1 appearances last season.

His goals may be in short supply, but he’s pacey and direct. Just like fellow new recruit Jordan Jones, he’s a player who loves to make things happen.

Consequently, plenty of Bears are delighted that the club has secured his signature.
