Rangers fans were celebrating a win in Paisley as the club dumped St. Mirren 2-0 to extend their winning Scottish Premiership run to 13 games.
The Ibrox side have built up a lot of momentum heading into the New Year Old Firm and will welcome Celtic to Ibrox this weekend as they look to build a 19 point gap.
The Rangers goals against the Buddies came from on-form striker Kemar Roofe and firebrand Alfredo Morelos, marking a return to goalscoring form right on time for the Colombian.
This was Alfredo’s first Scottish Premiership goal since September, the last time the striker scored the Ibrox side dropping points in a 2-2 draw away with Hibs.
The strike summed up everything that was good about Morelos’ performance, his hard-work and constant hassling forcing a mistake before he gave the keeper the eyes and applied the finish.
It was a much-needed goal and the Ibrox club’s fans were happy to see their star man get back on the scoresheet in the run up to the crunch match against Celtic.
So much so, that the Gers fans joked that wife Yesenia would have balloons waiting for the striker when he returned home from Glasgow.
Alfredo’s partner never hesitates when given the opportunity to crack out the balloons and fans joked this would be the same again after he scored last night:

The result puts Rangers 16 points in front of Celtic ahead of the crunch clash at Ibrox and continues Rangers’ fine run of winning form.
Here’s how the club’s fans reacted to St. Mirren manager Jim Goodwin following the result after he tried to put pressure on the referee pre-match.
