Rangers fans react to UEFA cock-up during Celtic's Europa League draw

Rangers and Celtic were both in the UEFA Europa League draw this afternoon – but as per usual only one side took centre stage.

After a ball is drawn during UEFA competition draws the camera generally pans to the delegates of the side involved.

That’s fine – but in the case of Celtic, the UEFA camera hilariously pointed to the delegate of Rangers representatives in Nyon, Switzerland.

There’s a hilarious acknowledgement from the Rangers official when he realises the camera is locked on them after Celtic were drawn from the pot.

Thumbing backwards to the table behind them, the Rangers delegates saw the funny side amidst the confusion over the two Scottish sides.

Representatives in the Europa might’ve been confused as who is who, but it’s not exactly a problem faced back home in Glasgow very often.

Rangers fans have been finding the entire thing pretty funny on Twitter.

Away from the confusion from the UEFA cameraman, Rangers and Celtic both secured a relatively positive draw in the last 32 of the Europa League.

Celtic – who were seeded for the draw – drew Danish outfit FC Copenhagen.

Rangers avoided the likes of Ajax, Inter Milan and Salzburg by drawing FC Braga, much to the delight of fans.
