Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has been linked with a transfer to Italian giants Juventus [The Scottish Daily Mail (01/12, back page)] and the Ibrox club’s fans don’t really know what to make of it.

The Finnish international has been on fine form for the Glasgow side this season and has reportedly been attracting a host of Premier League clubs [Daily Mail].

His form for Finland was said to have helped attract Juve – and Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the reports.

But any Rangers fans getting excited by the prospect of a multi-million-pound deal flooding into the Ibrox coffers may have to wait.

Steven Gerrard described the reports linking Kamara to the Allianz Stadium as “another made-up story” after the match with Hearts.

“There’s a lot going round at the moment about quite a few of my players but there’s no truth in it,” said Gerrard [BBC Scotland].

“It wouldn’t surprise me if there’s top clubs looking at Glen – again he was outstanding, lovely to watch – and as a midfielder myself I really admire his bodywork and his shape, the way he receives the ball.

“He’s a very clever footballer and it wouldn’t surprise me if top clubs were monitoring him but there’s no truth in Juventus.”

Still, the Old Lady’s loss is very much Rangers gain with Kamara playing amongst the best football of his career at Ibrox this season.
