Rangers fans have been reacting to the starting XI as Steven Gerrard’s side travel to St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers are currently 10 points adrift of leaders Celtic, albeit with a game in hand, and this is an opportunity to increase the pressure on our Old Firm rivals.

In order to do so, Steven Gerrard has made three changes from the team that beat Braga 3-2 on Thursday night.

The biggest talking point of the starting XI is the inclusion of Andy Halliday over the injured Borna Barisic.

The talented Croatian left-back came off in the second half of the match against Braga with Joe Aribo covering in at left-back on the night.

Ryan Jack also returns to the side after serving a suspension against Braga, whilst Joe Aribo earns spot in the starting line-up for his heroics against the Portuguese side on Thursday night.

Steven Davis and Glen Kamara drop out of the team.

Here’s how the Rangers fans reacted to the starting XI line up on Twitter, with many asking what Florian Kamberi has to do to get a start:

Since the turn of the year, St. Johnstone have won three in six and lost twice, to Livingston and Celtic, in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers will need to be at their best to take maximum points in Perthshire but fans will be confident after a stunning 3-2 turnaround against Braga on Thursday.
