Rangers fans have been reacting to the Rangers starting XI against Ross County in Dingwall this afternoon.

James Tavernier was the most notable absentee as he failed to recover from a knock sustained against Hamilton on Wednesday night. Matt Polster replaces him.

Ryan Kent also comes back into the side to replace Florian Kamberi, in the only other change from the disheartening 1-0 defeat.

From the lineup, many Rangers fans are most angered by the presence of Connor Goldson, who remains in the side despite a costly mistake against Accies:

Given the consistency Goldson has generally delivered for Rangers, this is more than a bit harsh. Unlike Katic, Goldson is also a senior player.

Rangers are currently 16 points off leaders Celtic but have two games in hand on their biggest rivals.

This is the second time Rangers have travelled to Ross County this season, with the first tie being a routine midweek 4-0 win back in October.

A well-taken Ryan Jack double was added to by a brace from the rampant Alfredo Morelos, in what was one of the club’s best away performances of the season.

Rangers also defeated Ross County 2-0 at Ibrox just after the turn of the year.

In what has proved a rare three points in the Scottish Premiership in 2020, Jermain Defoe and Scott Arfield got the goals in the win in Glasgow.
