Rangers fans have reacted on Twitter to a tweet that the official SPFL account posted following the side’s 2-0 victory against St Johnstone in midweek.

The match was comfortable for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side to negotiate, with the team getting back to its best and playing the kind of free-flowing football that powered them to the league title last season.

The second goal against the Perth side came in for special praise, with the team completing nine passes in just 20 seconds whilst transitioning the ball from Allan McGregor to Alfredo Morelos, who then slid the ball to Ryan Kent to slot home.

This is the type of football that was sorely lacking in the embryonic stages of our title defence, and since the Dutchman has taken over, the side seemed to have regained their confidence.

The official SPFL Twitter account posted a video of the goal following the match and Rangers fans loved it judging by their reactions.

It is becoming a joy to watch the Ibrox side play again after our stagnation during the later parts of the Steven Gerrard reign and this change in manager has certainly reinvigorated the team.

With the festive fixtures being branded a tough period for the club, Rangers have been clinical and professional in dispatching Hibs, Dundee, Hearts, and now St Johnstone with relative ease.

Although there are still four tough fixtures to come, with ties against Dundee Utd, St Mirren, Aberdeen, and Celtic loom on the horizon for Rangers.

If the side keeps playing as we have done, then expect more praise from the SPFL Twitter account before the year is out.

In other news, Rangers have been given a boost as key players will be available for the crunch tie against Celtic amid AFCON worries.
