Rangers fans react to refreshed crest as digital transformation launches

Rangers fans have been reacting to the Ibrox club’s new Ready crest as Rangers modernise the classic Lion Rampant design as part of a digital transformation.

The Ibrox club have launched an “industry-leading” new website and app as the club looks to press on with its heady global branding and marketing ambitions.

This is just the latest step as Rangers look to grow their brand in the elite European and global footballing arena.

As part of the digital transformation, the new website has been designed around consultation with the club’s supporters. You can visit the new site HERE.

Everything from club news, to ticket sales, to the club shop can all be found in the one place in what is an exciting and progressive move by the football club.

The digital transformation is three-pronged and involves the new website and app, the refreshed READY crest and a new brand identity including “Rangers blue” and a club typography.

It’s given everything a fresh, new, modern look and is a welcome evolution of the club off the field.

“The new brand identity retains the core assets and heritage of Rangers, whilst modernising and evolving its visual style for a digital era and in support of the club’s international fan engagement ambitions,” reads a Rangers statement.

“The Rangers READY crest, featuring the lion rampant, a classic leather football and the club’s motto “READY” surrounded by the team name Rangers Football Club has had a simple and effective refresh.”

Special locations across Glasgow were lit up with the badge the night before the launch, with the club projecting its new vision onto Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the Finnieston Crane and the Armadillo [Rangers].

The sleek new design has seen the crest simplified and modernised in a stylish refresh which takes nothing away from the classic design known throughout global football.

“For generations, the Ready crest has defined our ambition,” said club legend John Grieg.

“An icon of excellence. To win we must keep moving forward & so we bring the next chapter.”

Many Rangers fans took to Twitter to give a huge thumbs up to the club’s latest reveal:
