Celtic boss Neil Lennon has hit back at comments made by Steven Gerrard that Rangers deserve to be top of the Scottish Premiership.
The manager of our Old Firm rivals is clearly very sensitive about the entire thing and didn’t react well to the line of questioning.
Stirring the pot a little, Lennon quoted the fact Rangers have played more games at home and questioned the legitimacy of the comments saying he would “quibble” with them.

“I don’t know where that comes from [Rangers boss Steven Gerrard’s comments],” said Neil Lennon [BBC Sportsound, via Daily Record].
“I quibble with that, we’ve had five away games and three at home.
“I’m always going to quibble with a comment like that.”
Rangers fans have naturally pointed to the current positions of the two sides and the form of Rangers in the last few weeks.
And also the lack of it domestically from Celtic.
Rangers went into the October international break flying and turned things around since the Old Firm defeat in September.

With more twists and turns to come as the league season begins to hit one its busiest periods of the campaign, you won’t find many Rangers fans getting carried away.
But there can be little doubt that Gerrard’s remarks on the Ibrox club deserving to be where they are hold weight.
Rangers have been mightily impressive domestically this season and are where they are on merit.
