James Tavernier isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
For some, he’s an all singing all dancing full-back who can hold his own defensively while giving the side an added dimension in attack.

For others, he’s a liability at the back who’s good at scoring from 12 yards.
Whichever side of the fence you’re on, you can’t help but enjoy the footage that resurfaced today.
Thankfully, due to subsequent promotion, it’s a competition the Gers no longer compete for.
Nonetheless, it was another trophy in the cabinet and a Hampden Park final.

The scoreline was 4-0 against an outclassed Peterhead.
An own goal had broken the deadlock, but there was nothing fortuitous about the second goal.
It belonged to Tavernier, and what a strike it was.
Kenny Miller helped the ball on before the Englishman rifled a vicious volley into the top right corner.

An unstoppable effort worthy of winning any final.
An Andy Halliday penalty and a fourth from Miller put the icing on the cake, but the day really belonged to the marauding full-back.
Underneath the Twitter post, some Bears reflected on the strike.
