Rangers fans have been sending their best wishes to interim chairman Douglas Park as outgoing chair Dave King officially steps down.
King announced his intention to step down in the club’s last AGM in November 2019 and has now followed through on his promise.
King continues to earn the adulation of the Rangers support for all the work done to get the club back to where it is.

The South African based businessman will still be involved in the background of the club and pledged to stay on board to down Sports Direct owner Mike Ashley in the coming years.
Douglas Park now takes the reins at the Ibrox club, with the lifelong supporter and Scottish businessman serving on the Ibrox board since the Dave King and the Three Bears takeover in 2015.
One of a number of board members and investors who have helped stabilise the ship at Ibrox, Park is an appointment who can mediate proceedings with massive business influence in Scotland.
The club’s supporters have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on Douglas Park becoming interim chairman at Rangers:

But it has not stopped incoming interim chairman Douglas Park described the “privilege” of taking the reins at the football club as he discussed the ongoing coronavirus situation.
“It is a privilege to take on this position at the world’s most successful football club. We have experienced some difficult days but have emerged stronger than before,” said Park [Rangers].
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I welcome the continued enthusiasm towards contributing to the future success of the company and club. We will make further public comment in due course.
“I know what an institution Rangers is and what it means to our loyal fans. However, football is secondary at the moment.

“It is vital that we follow the advice of the government and medical experts to beat this virus.
“Please look after yourself and your loved ones. Thank you to the medical staff, and all key workers who are working tirelessly across the United Kingdom.”
