Rangers got back to winning ways on Wednesday night, by improving the two main facets of their game.
After a five-match run where they failed to find the net more than once, they scored three goals in under 50 minutes.
Furthermore, they kept their first clean since the home win over Dundee in February.
Connor Goldson made a big contribution to both those improvements.
The vice-captain has looked a little out of sorts recently.
It’s likely a combination of things, including a dip in confidence as well as fatigue from making 48 appearances in the famous shirt this season.
However, he was excellent last night.

Hearts didn’t offer much in attack, but the 26-year-old was back to leading the defence ably.
He managed to get himself on the scoresheet, too.
The ex-Brighton man applied the finishing touch with a header after the
impressive James Tavernier whipped an excellent set-piece into the visitor’s box.
That goal, the Gers’ second on the night, afforded some breathing space, ensuring there was to be no tension at Ibrox.
It was Goldson’s fourth of the season in all competitions and third on home turf.
What supporters loved the most, though, was his celebration.
He wheeled away with arms spread and eyes shut displaying real passion in front of the supporters.
