Rangers fans have reacted to Alfredo Morelos’ call-up to the Colombia squad.
The 22-year-old was named in the squad to face Venezuela and Argentina by under-20 Arturo Reyes. He therefore joins the 23-man squad after much speculation about whether he would make the list.
It’s just reward for Morelos’ fine start to the season. Not only has Rangers’ number one striker bagged both domestically and in Europe, but he’s looking a much better all-round player.

His build-up play is up there with the best from any Rangers striker in recent memory. It also remains to be seen how well Morelos does alongside new signing Kyle Lafferty from Hearts.
However, for now, Morelos has earned a real landmark moment in his career already. He now joins the likes of Juan Cuadrado and Davinson Sanchez in the Colombia national side for the first time.

Overwhelming support
Supporters have an overwhelming appreciation for the work put in by Morelos this season.
Despite being just 22-years-old, the former Helsinki striker has an eye for goal and is developing at a rapid rate. New manager Steven Gerrard also appears to have brought out the best in the man Rangers fans call “El Buffalo”.
Subsequently, he’ll be hoping to increase his burgeoning reputation by helping Gerrard’s men through a tricky Europa League second leg against FC Ufa. Rangers hold 1-0 first-leg lead over the Russia outfit thanks to a Connor Goldson strike at Ibrox.
However, Rangers could strongly do with Morelos doing what he does best and nabbing a goal to make it a lot more comfortable in Russia.
The Colombian scored the crucial away goal in Osijek in the second qualifying round. Doing so once more against Ufa will see Gerrard and his troops qualify for the Europa League proper and also earn the club a windfall.
