Rangers fans react sarcastically to latest Stay at Home tweet

Rangers have once again reiterated the Stay at Home message ahead of the Old Firm derby with Celtic this weekend.

The Gers will waltz into Parkhead as Champions and are preparing for a party even without fans as the club look to assert their dominance on our old rivals.

Taking to Twitter following a successful meeting earlier in the day, Rangers release a video which included a montage of first team players asking fans to stay at home.

The message is loud and clear:

Stay home

Stay safe

Support the NHS

Support Rangers Football Club.

The Old Firm has been under threat even since Gers fans broke strict lockdown rules to gather outside Ibrox and in George Square to celebrate the club’s 55th title win.

Since then there’s been a bit of sparring match between Rangers and the government – with Celtic also throwing a jab or two – but all stakeholders have ramped up their messaging.

Rangers are very clear that at no point should the club’s fans breach lockdown rules to come near Celtic Park this weekend.

Not that any Rangers fans were planning to do so – something which is reflected in the sarcastic fan reaction to the video:

From our point of view, we should leave it to the players to provide the fireworks as Rangers look to continue their unbeaten run and make it three wins on the bounce at Celtic Park.

Celtic haven’t taken Rangers’ title win all that well as the Ibrox supporters continue to laugh off the Parkhead club’s salty communications.
