During Friday morning’s press conference, as followed by the Rangers Twitter account, Steven Gerrard gave an injury update.
After two disappointing results, the Gers are back in SPL action this afternoon.

Kimarnock travel to Ibrox on the back of a last gasp win against St Mirren.
With the visitors back to winning ways, Gerrard will have wanted to field his strongest possible side.
However, midfield mainstays
Jack is struggling with knocks to both his foot and calf, while Arfield’s long-standing calf issue has once again flared up.

These two have played six straight games for the Gers, but now Gerrard may be forced into midfield changes.
Ross McCrorie has been regularly left out recently, and could benefit if Jack misses out.
Likewise, January signing Steven Davis has struggled to make his mark so far.
He could come in for Arfield, if he fails a fitness test.
Yet, it’s by no means guaranteed that those declared doubtful will actually be absent.
There seems to be question marks over both players’ fitness on a weekly basis.

More often than not though, they make the team sheet.
Accordingly, some Rangers reacted to the news with a mixture of disappointment and mock surprise.
