Debate has rumbled on for several days now over the four penalties Rangers were awarded in the SPL fixture against St Mirren, at the weekend.
It seems like just about everyone has had their say. Pundits, ex-referees, managers and fans.
Tuesday’s comments from Kilmarnock boss, Steve Clarke, stoked up the controversy further and drew the ire of Steven Gerrard.

The decision most in question, was the awarding of the second penalty.
At this point, it’s worth reminding ourselves, that it wasn’t actually converted.
It had absolutely no bearing on the final result, a matter that seems lost on some.
Nonetheless, it is certainly the weakest case of all the spot kicks.
Jermain Defoe cuts inside, anticipates contact and goes to ground. Little to no contact actually occurs and because of that, the veteran doesn’t appeal for a foul. Instead, he bounces straight back up to play on.

It’s simply not his fault that referee, Andrew Dallas, awards a penalty.
This wasn’t a cynical act. There was no pleading for a decision.
Therefore, the concept of a retrospective ban for Defoe was near laughable.
Sense prevailed yesterday afternoon, as multiple news outlets reported that the Rangers striker had avoided punishment.
The reaction of some Bears was hilarious.
