Rangers captain James Tavernier sprung back into life at Ibrox this week with two stellar performances at the Global Energy Stadium and Hampden.
The Gers skipper has come under heavy fire from some quarters for a spate of high-profile mistakes but after a resounding call of support by manager Steven Gerrard [RangersTV], Tav has responded very well.
And if the promise of another trip to Hampden and an assist for Alfredo Morelos in the 3-0 win over Hearts weren’t big enough mementos of his trip to the National Stadium, he took something else away with him.
The Gers skipper was filmed going home with a cardboard cut out of himself which was placed on his locker at Hampden.
In the hilarious clip – filmed by RangersTV – Tavernier is seen escaping Hampden with the cut-out and even showing the Rangers team’s bus driver the contraband.
The flying wing-back’s antics caught the eye of fans, with some even demanding that it’s something else he’s sneaking out of Hampden on the next visit.

Tavernier captained Rangers to a 3-0 win over Hearts at Hampden on Sunday to set-up an Old Firm final against Celtic next month.
It will be Rangers’ second major final since the club’s financial problems in 2012 and it’s set up to be a proper occasion for both sides.
If Rangers can win this trophy, it will stop Celtic’s recent domestic run of nine trophies on the bounce and lay down a marker for the rest of the season.
