As if the aftermath of Rangers stumbling draw against Aberdeen wasn’t bad enough, the news that Borna Barisic is a doubt for the weekend’s Betfred Cup Final is a major blow.
The Croatian full-back has been on immense form this season for Rangers and has developed into a key player under Steven Gerrard.
But the club could be without their flying left full-back for what is undoubtedly the biggest game of the season so far.

Jon Flanagan deputised for the full-back up in Aberdeen last night and proved that he is someways away from suitably filling the gap left by the Croatian.
Rangers actually don’t have anyone with the effectiveness of Barisic down that side and his absence from Sunday’s match would be a considerable worry.
The attacking wing-back has laid on 10 assists this season and his delivery is one of the key weapons in Steven Gerrard’s arsenal.
The club’s supporters have taken to Twitter to express their fears over the Croatian’s potential absence, and discuss who should replace him.

Just how big a miss would Borna Barisic be ahead of the Betfred Cup Final at Hampden?
Does Steven Gerrard also have to shoulder some of the blame for playing the full-back against Hearts?
