Rangers full-back Jon Flanagan has had the case against him for an alleged “elbow” on Celtic captain Scott Brown thrown out by the SFA.
The Rangers defender was given a yellow at the time following the clash with Brown. In the true style of the Celtic captain, he writhed about on the deck desperately trying to get Flanagan sent off.
In one last hope of a minor victory, there was outrage over the decision after the match. Rangers had just skudded Celtic 2-0. The tears were delicious.

Eventually, Flanagan was cited by the Compliance Officer. Rangers then released a damning statement claiming they’re being refereed differently to other clubs. It was a bit of a farce getting.

And just when you thought it would end in a suspension, the SFA Panel pulls this out of the bag. And if you look at the Bachmann decision earlier in the season, it’s absolutely merited.
It’s fair to say Rangers fans have been enjoying the decision on Twitter.

The decision means Flanagan will now be available to face Kilmarnock on Sunday. The makeshift left-back has made the position his own in recent weeks, and he’s likely to start come the match.
If Rangers beat Kilmarnock, it will also be the first time the club has achieved a clean sweep of wins after the split in their history.
