What was that about Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos and not scoring in big games?
The boisterous Colombian proved once again that he has the mettle for games that matter with a double and assist booking Rangers’ place in the Betfred Cup Final after a 3-0 win against a turgid Hearts side at Hampden.
Morelos showed up Christophe Berra, Heart of Midlothian Football Club and all of his doubters with the double, and the Gers fans haven’t let them forget it.

The 23-year-old is on ferocious form and it was his double – which could well have been hattrick – and assist which sees Rangers through to the Final.
It follows on from Morelos producing the goods in several high-profile matches this season.
The striker has 10 goals in Europe alone and against FC Midtjylland, Legia Warsaw and of course Porto he’s proven to be worth his weight in pure Colombian gold.
It was his performance and end-product today which won this tie for Rangers and it takes him to an incredible 20 goals for the season.
It’s barely turned November.
There’s been plenty of talk about the wee man jumping ship in January, but Steven Gerrard confirmed after the match at Hampden that Morelos is going nowhere [BT Sport].

So if what people mean by “big games” is against Old Firm rivals Celtic, Gerrard’s comments suggest there’s plenty of time to worry about putting that right.
Not least in the Betfred Cup Final next month.
