Rangers boss Steven Gerrard revealed that Nigeria midfielder Joe Aribo needed 20 stitches [Daily Record] after a nasty elbow to the face from Livingston defender Ricki Lamie.
Despite suggestions from Gary McAllister that the referee may well have got the call not to send Lamie off correct, Steven Gerrard appeared to suggest that it was dangerous play after the match.
Whatever the case, the Nigeria international ended up with a nasty gash to the head and many Rangers fans are not happy about it.

Rangers fans are clearly peeved off with the reaction of both the referee, the pundits and even those on their own side.
Ally McCoist came under fire for calling Aribo “naïve” whilst Gary McAllister, who probably hadn’t seen the foul back, suggested Don Robertson got the call right.
Lamie has a quick look at Aribo after jumping in dangerously against Morelos, before leading with his elbow.
If Aribo doesn’t outjump him, he’s guaranteed to get hurt. It’s a red card all day long and there’s not even an argument.

According to Gary Holt, referee Robertson apologised to his players for getting the red card decision on Filip Helander wrong [Daily Record].
Should he have done the same to the Rangers side for the horrific elbow on Joe Aribo?
