On Tuesday afternoon, many Rangers fans finally got the news they were looking for.
The club officially confirmed, that Carlos Pena’s contract has been terminated.
The Mexican international was brought in by Pedro Caixinha, during the summer of 2017.

Arriving from Chivas, the transfer fee was a reported £2.20 million.
However, he failed to make the kind of impact all parties had hoped for.
Over the first half of the 2017/18 season, he made 14 appearances and scored five times.
On paper, that return doesn’t look bad at all.

His performances rarely stood out, though, and off field issues added to his struggles.
For those reasons, a series of loan deals followed.
Despite returning home, things didn’t improve much at either Cruz Azul or Necaxa.
When his spell at the latter ended early, he was back to
Finally, though, Rangers have cut their losses.
The official statement was short and sweet: “We can confirm that Carlos Pena is no longer a Rangers player. His contract has been terminated. We him the best for his future.”
While there were a few Bears sorry to see Pena go, most rejoiced at his departure.
