Rangers fans have raved about Nathan Patterson after the Scotland national team Twitter account shared a stunning clip of him scoring in training.
Patterson has represented Scotland at U17, U18, U19 and U21 level and recently received his first-ever senior call-up ahead of the Euros.
He’s still a very inexperienced player, with only 16 Gers first-team appearances to his name.
However, the call-up was deserved after some extremely impressive showings in both the Premiership and the Europa League at the back end of the season.
The 19-year-old is a dynamic option at right-back and as he showed against Royal Antwerp in February, he certainly knows where the goal is.
He produced more evidence of his attacking threat in Scotland training earlier this week and Rangers fans raved about their homegrown talent.
In a clip shared by the national team account, Patterson completes a slick one-two and surges away from his man before firing an emphatic finish into the top left corner.
The tweet was captioned: “Welcome to the squad Nathan Patterson” alongside a fire emoji.

Patterson will be hoping to make his debut early next month, with a pair of friendlies scheduled against the Netherlands and Luxembourg and it’ll be interesting to see whether or not he does enough to displace Stephen O’Donnell for the Euros.
As far as Rangers fans are concerned, it’s a no-brainer for Steve Clarke.
