Rangers fans have raved about new signing Cedric Itten after footage of many of the striker’s goals emerged on social media.
The 23-year-old Swiss international was officially unveiled as a Ger on Tuesday evening, after penning a four-year deal with the club.
Officially, the fee has been listed as undisclosed, but the Scottish Sun has suggested Rangers paid around £2.5m to bring him in.
Itten helped his previous club, St Gallen, to a second-place finish in the Swiss Super League season which concluded on Monday and enjoyed a strong campaign in front of goal, netting 20 times and registering seven assists from 36 matches in all competitions.
It was the most productive season of the player’s career to date, eclipsing his efforts at former clubs FC Luzern and FC Basel.

Most Rangers fans won’t have seen the 6ft 2″ forward play live and so at this point, are frantically searching for video footage to get an idea of what type of player has just joined the club.
As a result, a compilation video of Itten’s Super League goals posted by Swiss football enthusiast Chris King on Twitter has received plenty of attention.
The clips make it clear that the new Ger is a penalty box striker who is good in the air and possesses a poacher’s instincts.
There is the odd strike from distance in the video, though, with a stunning left-footed drive against Basel showing that he’s not afraid to have a go from outside the area, even with his weaker foot.
Plenty of Bears were encouraged by the footage and here’s a selection of their reactions:
