Rangers fans have waxed lyrical about Leon Balogun following his triumphant post-Livingston League Cup tweet.
Balogun has been in and out of the Gers XI so far this season, with Filip Helander and Jack Simpson both also partnering the almost ever-present Connor Goldson.

He was rested for the Premiership flag day draw with Motherwell on Sunday but returned to the starting lineup for the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final on Wednesday night.
Goldson and Helander are the club’s best centre-back pairing, but plenty of fans also appreciate the job Balogun has done since arriving at the club in July 2020.
A few poor European performances aside, he’s been consistent at the back and he delivered another strong display against the Lions.
The Nigeria international showcased his excellent tackling ability on a number of occasions and helped to ensure former Gers player Andrew Shinnie barely got a kick for the visitors.
Despite a lacklustre first-half display, Rangers emerged 2-0 winners and it reflects well on Balogun that Livi didn’t register a single shot, never mind an effort on target.

He took to social media on Thursday afternoon, tweeting an action shot captioned “semi-final here we come”, followed by red, white and blue emojis.
The post already had several thousand likes by the time of writing and plenty of supporters took the opportunity to praise the 33-year-old.

Meanwhile, a player Rangers sold shortly before Balogun’s arrival is on course to win a league title overseas.
