Rangers fans have raved about Greg Stewart on Twitter after footage emerged of his stunning ISL hat-trick for Jamshedpur FC.

After being released by Rangers at the end of last season, Stewart joined Jamshedpur on a one-year deal in September.

On Tuesday, he made his sixth appearance for his new club in an away fixture against Odisha and he stole the show in a 4-0 win.

After setting up the opening goal which was scored by former Motherwell captain Peter Hartley, Stewart put the hosts to the sword.

His first goal was an excellent right-footed strike from outside the box that found the top right corner to put Jamshedpur 2-0 up after just four minutes.

In the 21st minute, he whipped a superb free-kick around the wall and into the bottom left corner and then ten minutes before the break, he drove into the right side of the box before firing home a right-footed shot.

Stewart lauded after ISL display

The 31-year-old ex-Ger was named ‘Hero of the Match’ and his performance was labelled ‘jaw-dropping’ by Jamshedpur’s official account.

Then, after footage of his goals was shared by the ScotsAbroadPod on Twitter, Rangers fans showered him with praise.

The standard of the defending doesn’t look great but all three goals are quality.
