Rangers fans are questioning the Ibrox club’s mentality after the 2-1 loss to Hearts at Tynecastle.
It’s the second year running that Rangers have dropped points in the title race so soon after coming back from the break and the second time the club have dropped points at Hearts this season.
With the club’s supporters once again getting their hopes up off the back of an Old Firm win before the winter break, this has come as a real sting in the tail.
Rangers couldn’t match Hearts anywhere on the field and were outfought for the overwhelming majority of the match.
Barring a ten-or-so-minute spell at the beginning of the second half, Hearts forced Rangers into playing their game and quite simply, wanted it more.
This match was always going to be a potential banana skin and for that reason, it is incredible that Rangers didn’t do more to prevent the slip-up.
From the off there only appeared one winner and it doesn’t help when the side is shooting themselves in the foot after squeezing themselves in front.
It was a turgid, tepid display with even the likes of Steven Davis monumentally off the boil for Rangers.
The club’s supporters are now questioning whether or not this Rangers team have what it takes to lift silverware this season:
That rangers team have not got the winning mentality… not a winner in that team… and if Defoe is SG answer for when Morelos is suspended thats not going to work… rotten all over the park disgusted with that performance

Before today. Hearts had won 2 games in the league all season. We’ve looked dire in both games since break. So many players underperforming and another Old Firm win wasted. Again player mentality will be questioned. Not good enough.

The mentality of that Rangers team is shocking. We will not win a title anytime soon. Serial serial bottlers. Hearts haven’t won in 10, bottom of the league. Serial serial bottlers

Rangers are incredible at ruining my weekends Bottled once again

Struggling to comprehend how bad that was from Rangers. Completely out fought all over the park and nobody grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck. A big test and we bottled it in an appalling manner.

Bottled it again. Hearts by the far the better team the day. Can't name 1 Rangers player who had a decent game. Seek

Rangers have the chance to bounce straight back against Ross County at Ibrox, with the club now playing three Scottish Premiership matches in a row at Ibrox.
