Rangers have always placed charity at the heart of the club’s operations and one of the most exciting days of the year is when the club’s squad visits the children’s hospital at Christmas.
Handing over £10k from the Rangers Charity Foundation in the process, the Rangers team headed up to the Royal Hospital for Children next to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to meet some sick kids ahead of the visit of Santa.
The event obviously meant the world to the sick kids in the hospital and an emotional gallery of the Rangers squad’s visit can be viewed HERE.
The squad and coaching staff spent the day speaking to the kids, parents and staff at the hospital and Steven Gerrard praised the visit.
“The team visit to the hospital is always an emotional but rewarding day and it was great to spend time with the kids, their parents and some of the staff,” said Gerrard [Rangers Charity Foundation].
“Christmas is an especially difficult time for children to be in hospital, but hopefully we’ve helped to spread some joy to the wards today and it was a privilege to present the Foundation’s donation.
“On behalf of everyone at Rangers Football Club and the Rangers Charity Foundation, we would like to wish everyone at the hospital a Merry Christmas.”
Rangers fans have been praising the club for the donation and the squad for taking the time to speak to the kids.

The £10k donation from Rangers has funded decorations for the wards and has helped “bring some Christmas magic to the hospital”.
It has also helped with the screening of films throughout December with the hospital’s MediCinema which offers families the chance to spend precious time together in difficult circumstances.
