Rangers fans may be relieved after a GIVEMESPORT report provided an update on the allegedly active search for a new Tottenham Hotspur manager.
Over the weekend, 90min.com claimed that Steven Gerrard was on chairman Daniel Levy’s shortlist of potential successors to José Mourinho.

The Portuguese is currently struggling at Spurs, with the London club sitting sixth in the Premier League table and suffering a humiliating defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Last 16 of the Europa League last week.
The 90min.com report asserted that Brendan Rodgers is the frontrunner to take over if Mourinho is sacked, but even though there are concerns about his relative lack of experience, Gerrard was also named as a potential successor.
However, a GIVEMESPORT report has now played down the chances of the Rangers boss being offered the role, with the outlet suggesting that there are many potential candidates who Levy would turn to before considering Gerrard.

While some Bears may be confident that the Gers manager would only leave Ibrox for the top job at his old club Liverpool, it’ll still be a relief to many supporters if a club with the facilities and spending power of Spurs aren’t sniffing around the man who delivered 55.
If Gerrard continues to shine at Ibrox, interest from other clubs will follow, but he seems intent on achieving much more in Glasgow before he moves on to a new challenge.
Meanwhile, a Rangers star has been lauded by international team fans after touching down ahead of two crucial qualifiers.
