Guinness World Records have responded to a Rangers fan who’d praised the official world record keepers for updating the Ibrox side’s title wins so quickly.

The Gers boast a world record number of domestic title victories and this was extended further with title number 55 as the club were crowned Champions of Scotland over the weekend.

Wasting no time in updating the record, the Guinness World Book of Records were applauded by a supporter.

Tagging the organisation in the Tweet, the GWR quickly snapped back.

GWR even seemed to turn the screw on the Ibrox club’s rivals by writing “Rangers claimed their latest title with 6 games left to play and an unassailable 20-point lead [GWR]”.

The response has since garnered the attention an appreciative Ibrox support who liked the tweet well over 2000 times.

Supporters also responded directly as they applauded the efficiency with which the club’s World Record was updated by the group.

Rangers fans continue to be in buoyant mood after the Ibrox club secured their first title in a decade with number 55.

Some fans might’ve come in for criticism for their public celebrations but the club have been clear that the government was warned about the situation prior to the game’s kick off.
