The new SPL season is almost upon us, with the Gers kicking things off with a trip to Rugby Park on Sunday.
With that first fixture imminent, the captains of each club reported to Hampden on Monday for a photocall.

A RangersTV feature caught up with James Tavernier at the event, in a video which included an interview with the skipper as well as content from the photoshoot.
However, the aspect the fans appear to have been most interested in was the manner of Tav’s entrance.
As shown in the video, he rolled into the car park on a grey Glasgow morning in a shiny black Lamborghini. It went down a storm with some Bears:

It was certainly a flashy move from the skipper, who had an outstanding 2018/19 season.
The focus now must be on finally delivering silverware, though.
He’s a key cog in the side, contributing to both attack and defence from his right-back berth. He’ll be without his trusty partner in Daniel Candeias after the Portuguese’s move to Genclerbirligi, but the Gers have strengthened considerably over the summer months.
Hopefully, come the end of the season, there’ll be cause for yet more photoshoots. This time, with the SPL title in hand.
