Rangers fans have lauded both Steven Gerrard and Ryan Kent after the Rangers duo won the SPFL manager and player of the month awards for August.
The news was announced on Friday morning, ahead of the return of the Premiership following the international break.
Gerrard is under pressure to deliver a trophy in his third season as Rangers boss and he has been recognised for a strong start to the campaign.
His side currently sit three points clear at the top of the table, having recorded five wins and a draw from their opening six matches.
The drab stalemate at Livingston saw him heavily criticised by supporters, but it’s the only blot on his copybook so far and it’s a testament to his organisational skills that his team are yet to concede in the league.

To date, Ryan Kent has been Gerrard’s standout performer in the final third.
The 23-year-old has been the subject of interest from Leeds United [The Sun], but he’s maintained his focus and proved a constant menace for opposition defences.
The Englishman has scored three times in six matches, as he sets about improving his underwhelming statistics from previous seasons.

Rangers fans were delighted to see the two key figures receive their awards with many taking to social media to offer their congratulations.
