Rangers fans have lauded Alfredo Morelos for another outstanding performance in the Europa League, this time in a 2-2 draw with Feyenoord.
Heading into the clash, the Colombian had scored in three consecutive European ties, away at Young Boys and then both home and away against Porto.
He was largely starved of service in the first half with the hosts very much in the ascendancy.
However, it was a very different story in the second period, during which he turned the game on its head with a sensational brace.
With 52 minutes on the clock, an excellent pass from Steven Davis found Ryan Kent on the left flank. He promptly skipped inside and whipped a ball to the back post which El Bufalo headed back across goal and into the far corner.
That was his first real chance of the game, but he dispatched the finish with composure and accuracy.
His second goal was even better, though.
Just over ten minutes later, he was picked out by another cross from the left side, this time from Borna Barisic. Morelos rose and guided an incredible header from the centre of the area into the top right corner, leaving the keeper rooted to the spot.
Two remarkably clinical pieces of finishing from the Colombian international, then, taking him to a tally of 24 club goals for the season – and it’s only December.
Unfortunately, his efforts wouldn’t be enough for victory, with Luis Sinisterra equalising for the hosts just three minutes later. Yet, Morelos has ensured progression is still very much in Rangers’ hands going into the final group game against Young Boys in two weeks time.
Understandably following his latest heroics, Bears went wild for the striker on social media.
