Rangers fans have lauded Jordan Jones after he tweeted his delight at getting back on the pitch in the friendly win over Lokomotiv Tashkent.

The Northern Ireland international was given the nod for the second 45 minutes in the Dubai Sevens Stadium on Saturday, though, and he’ll be hoping it’s the first of many outings in 2020.

As a confidence booster, he managed to get himself an assist, too.

Driving infield after picking the ball up on the left flank, Jones weaved his way past multiple opposition players before sliding in Greg Stewart, who made it 6-1 with a clinical finish.
