Rangers fans have praised Joe Aribo for a strong display against Ross County on Wednesday evening.

Steven Gerrard’s side haven’t always been fluent on the road this season, but they were slick in Dingwall, securing an early goal and going on to dominate all aspects of the game.

Ryan Jack and Alfredo Morelos netted braces and rightly received many of the plaudits.

Summer signing Aribo was also influential, though.

The 23-year-old got forward with much more frequency than usual and looked on a mission to unlock the opposition defence.

He had a hand in the first goal, linking up with Sheyi Ojo whose low cross found El Bufalo to tap in at the back post.

Aribo registered assists for the third and fourth goals on the night, too.

It was he who laid the ball off for Jack, who dropped the shoulder before firing in his second of the game to secure a first career double. Then, in the second half, the Nigeria international’s perfectly waited ball sent Morelos in on the left side of the box, allowing him to pull the trigger and score with a first-time finish.

In general play, Aribo looked a class apart from the Staggies players, who often resorted to hacking him down.

For a player standing at over 6ft, the quickness of his feet is remarkable. Even under pressure from multiple opposition players, he tends to find a way out.

An eye-catching display from the ex-Charlton man then, which was appreciated by Bears on social media.
