Rangers fans have praised their manager, Steven Gerrard, for shutting down a journalist’s question about Ryan Jack.
As followed by the Official Rangers Twitter, the Gers boss addressed the media on Friday morning to preview Sunday’s League Cup semi-final against Hearts.
Gerrard offered his sympathies to Craig Levein following his sacking as manager by the Jambos and provided an injury update from his own camp.
However, he wasn’t in any mood to talk about possible transfer interest in one of his key players.
Ryan Jack has received rave reviews after his masterclass in Dingwall on Wednesday night, but as far as Gerrard is concerned, there’s no point in talking about what the midfielder is worth.
“Not interested in Ryan’s value, he isn’t going anywhere,” said Gerrard, as quoted by the Official Rangers Twitter.

Verdict
It’s a sign of the times that after a stellar display like the one the Scotland international put in in midweek, people want to talk about potential transfers.
Yet, Gerrard is well within his rights not to entertain such notions.
Just last week, Jack penned an improved contract tieing him to Ibrox until 2023 [Rangers.co.uk]. He’s a player who loves pulling on the Light Blue jersey and you can see his commitment to the club week in, week out.
Unlike someone like Alfredo Morelos, who will probably move on in the next year or two, there’s a sense that all things being well, Jack would happily finish his career in Govan, and there’s no doubt the supporters would be delighted to have him.
