Rangers fans have praised Alfredo Morelos after the striker took to social media to mark his goal against Porto.

The Gers marksman broke the deadlock in the 69th minute of the tight Europa League Group G clash at Ibrox, with a wonderfully taken finish.

Ryan Jack picked him out on the edge of the opposition area, and after letting the ball come across him, he took one touch before firing into the bottom left corner.

It was his first genuine sight at goal in the entire game but he dispatched it with aplomb sparking jubilation around Ibrox.

El Bufalo was at it again moments later, running in behind on the left side, before turning back and finding Steven Davis, whose deflected shot flew pasted a wrong-footed Marchesin and secured the points.

That’s now 11 goals in European competition for the Colombian this season, who has netted in three of the Gers’ four group games so far.

Still just 23, it’s abundantly clear that the sky is the limit for this player. It seems everything he touches is turning to gold at the minute and he’ll be hoping to keep his run going against Livingston at the weekend.

On Friday evening, he took to social media to mark his latest match-defining contribution, tweeting a picture of him wheeling away to celebrate, accompanied by various emojis. Inside an hour, the post had racked up 4000 likes and close to 200 comments.
