Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton is never one to take defeat from Rangers well and he proved it once again with an embarrassing column on Alfredo Morelos’ leaving the pitch.
The Ibrox striker was sent packing for a second yellow in the closing stages of the match and appeared to respond by running his hand across his neck as he left the field.
This gesture was signalling that the game was over, but according to Chris Sutton, there’s something a little more malicious at play.

The former Celtic striker is appealing for the authorities to ban Morelos for up to five games for the what he describes as “throat-cutting gestures”, calling it “violent”. Seriously.
In the bitter column, Sutton also claims that Morelos’ behaviour could cost Rangers the league, despite the striker being a key player for the Glasgow side.
All of these ex-Celtic stars and press cheerleaders seem to come out after a bad result and Sutton’s comments are the latest in a barrage of dehumanising nonsense levelled at the striker.
He is not threatening to slit anyone’s throat, he is signalling that the game is finished. That’s it.
Rangers fans have been reacting to the hurting comments of Chris Sutton as the Celtic hordes look to get some kind of reconciliation for the painful Parkhead defeat.

Shouting about Morelos and Kent is helping them purge the pain of the defeat and deflect from the fact Rangers outplayed them on their own patch.
But for a football pundit to morph into a paid troll because he’s upset that his team was soundly beaten?
Immature, desperate, deranged.
