The notion that Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is worth more than the change down the back of the couch is a difficult one to accept for many Celtic fans.
Our eastend rivals generally struggle with the idea that the Rangers striker could move on for eight figures, let alone for the £25m+ the likes of Neil McCann suggested he should [Scottish Sun].
And yet one of the country’s most prominent Celtic cheerleaders is suggesting that a Parkhead striker is worth roughly the same at £20m, even though he’s hardly kicked a ball in a year.
Leigh Griffiths – yes he’s still in the background at Celtic – has struggled to get back into the Parkhead side since taking time out last year.
After returning briefly at the start of the season before disappearing again, Griffiths made yet another return to the Celtic side against Livingston over the weekend.
Formerly the club’s number one striker, Griffiths’ lack of form has seen him tumble down the pecking order at Parkhead.
And yet former Celtic striker Chris Sutton – who has regularly berated Morelos – claims the former Hibs striker is worth £20m.
Rangers fans have been in stitches about the suggestion ever since.

You get the feeling that Sutton was just fishing for bites with the outlandish claims, but there’s also an element of overvaluing and bigging up Celtic’s players in the press.
