Rangers fans hijack streaming giant’s tweet after they pose manager query

Rangers fans have hijacked a tweet from streaming giant Amazon Prime which asked fans if they would rather have Chelsea boss Frank Lampard or Gers manager Steven Gerrard in charge at their club.

Both legends of the English game, Lampard and Gerrard suffered through this comparison as players and it looks like they’re destined to do the same as managers.

Lampard started his managerial career with Derby County but before long the Stamford Bridge legend was back at his old stomping ground.

Appointed Rams boss at the same time Gerrard was given the Gers role, Lampard brought Derby to the Championship Playoff Final, but they would fail at the final hurdle against Aston Villa.

A year on from first taking the Derby job, Lampard would take over a Chelsea side toiling under Maurizio Sarri and suffering from a transfer ban.

Splashing the cash this summer, the England icon has enjoyed an up-and-down season, with Lamps under pressure with Chelsea in 9^th place, managing only one win in their last five Premier League matches.

Rangers fans are obviously well aware of the abilities of Steven Gerrard who has set about transforming the club’s fortunes since he took over in 2018.

There have been plenty bumps on the round but Rangers now look on course and the club’s fans left Amazon in no doubts as to who was the main man following the tweet:

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard deserves huge credit for the role he has played in the transformation of the Gers as their fortunes turn both domestically and in Europe.

The Ibrox club have clearly left an impression on the Liverpool legend too, as a photo which proudly hangs on his wall would suggest.
