Rangers fans heap praise on Alfredo Morelos for Hibernian winner tweet

Rangers fans have heaped praise on Alfredo Morelos after he took to Twitter to show off his winning goal against Hibernian at the weekend.

Morelos has had a relatively quiet start to the 2021/22 season by his own high standards, having only netted four times in 13 appearances in all competitions before Sunday’s fixture at Ibrox.

However, he was brought back into the starting lineup having been benched for the 1-0 defeat to Sparta Prague on Thursday and he produced the goods in the 78th minute.

With the match in the balance after Kemar Roofe had cancelled out Kevin Nisbet’s early opener, Morelos showed great movement in the box to fashion a yard of space before rising and powering home a header from a Borna Barisic cross.

On Monday night, he posted a superb alternative angle of the goal and his celebration on Twitter and captioned it with Colombia flag, football (goal) and buffalo emojis.

The footage shows the raw passion of Morelos and his teammates and captures the roar of the crowd celebrating a fine winning goal.

Unsurprisingly the tweet went down extremely well with supporters.

By the time of writing, it had racked up over 6k likes as well as hundreds of retweets and replies.
