Rangers have received a transfer boost in regards to Jack Wylie as Arsenal and Tottenham suffer a blow in the market.

Both the Gunners and Spurs wanted to sign the 15-year-old Rangers wonderkid as he debated whether to commit himself to the Gers or move away from Ibrox.

That is according to the Daily Record.

Now, Rangers fans will be delighted with the outcome.

Jack Wylie commits to Rangers

Well, the Scotland Under-16 international has decided to ignore the two English giants and stay in Glasgow.

The Daily Record believe Wylie is now set to step out of the academy and sign a two-year professional contract with Rangers after impressing in the youth ranks.

Calum Adamson has also committed himself to Rangers despite interest from Crystal Palace and Newcastle.

The Scottish Sun believe Manchester United were also interested in Wylie, who operates as a centre-back and can also play at full-back.

Therefore, it is a major coup for Michael Beale to keep the teenager away from three of the Premier League’s most successful sides.

It also bodes well for Rangers in terms of keeping other young talents in the youth ranks at Ibrox.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United boast some of the best academy facilities across Europe, so for Wylie and Adamson to ignore them in favour of staying at Rangers speaks volumes.

Now, it is important for Beale to find a way to get the precocious duo in the first-team at some point across the next few years, as that will show others in the youth ranks that there is a pathway into the senior setup at Ibrox.

The likes of Leon King, Alex Lowry and Adam Devine have already received senior recognition under Beale, so there is no reason why the 42-year-old would not hand Wylie and Adamson opportunities if he feels they deserve it.
